Ella's 2nd Birthday

Let me start this post off with a picture of my sweet little baby
girl who turned two on Nov. 5th!  My wonderful friend and amazing
photographer, Tracy took this picture of Ella during our family pics/
Parker's newborn session and I thought I would use this picture to write
my "Who you are at 2 years old" bit...
So here we go...Who you are Ella Bear at 2 years old...

You still give the best hugs and kisses in the world!
You give me and Daddy and now Parker the best hugs and kisses
all day long and we love everyone of them!  Your family loves your
hugs and kisses too!  You give awesome phone kisses too!  You make
the "mmmmmmmmmmmuah" sound when you give those sweet little
kisses too.  I hope you keep giving them because we love them!

You have an amazing vocabulary and are so so smart!
I know all parents think their children are the smartest ones out there
but you knew your ABC's and how to count 1-10 at like 19 months.
It is so sweet hearing words, full sentences and songs come out of your
mouth!  You can also sing twinkle twinkle little star along with a couple
other songs.  One thing you say often that makes us laugh is when you, "poot"
you say, "Ella pooted."  You even call people out when they toot!  Just a funny
little tidbit of info in which we think is hilarious!
You can pretty much repeat any word we say and surprise the
heck out of us all the time with new words!

You have gotten very independent but still have your moments of dependency.
You, like every other two year old, want to do everything by yourself and
will try and try and try and then once you realize you need help, will let us help
you. Everything is "mine" or actually, you say everything is "ella's" You
started your "terrible twos" a couple weeks before your brother got here
but once Parker was here they came on full force.  We think that eventhough
you are going through a big adjustment right now, that you are still an overall
well behaved, sweet as sugar child.

There are several things you love at this age!
First of all, you love your new baby brother.  You want to hold him
and love on him all the time.  You also love Elmo, your baby dolls,
your snuggles and singing and dancing. When you and I are in your room
we put on your dancing CD and you dance continuously to all 17 tracks!
When any music comes on TV or the radio, you start moving!  While I have
been home on maternity leave, me, you and Parker dance with "Ellen" every
day at 12 noon.  You also LOVE LOVE LOVE making pallets with your
daddy!  Mostly on the weekends you and Daddy put the egg crate and a
couple quilts and pillows down on the floor in front of the TV and we watch
movies.  You love "Flying" with your daddy too.  Either on the floor with
his feet in your tummy or on the couch him holding you up under your legs...
you love it and say, "Ella flying." You also love to go outside especially with your
daddy and love to play basketball with him.  You mostly go fetch the ball for him
though.

You are a pretty good eater but have gotten a little more picky.
You love fruit (mainly mangoes, apples, pears, grapes, strawberries and
mixed berries) sweet potato fries, pizza (Amy's organic spinach pizza is
your fav), peas, carrots, grilled cheese sandwiches and milk!  You will
let us know when you don't like something by throwing it on the floor.
You throw your food on the floor almost every time we put you in your
high chair.

You have a great imagination!
When your daddy acts like he takes your nose and throws it, you
go and pick up your imaginary nose or whatever on the floor and bring it
over to him.  Sometimes you even eat it...LOL  You play so good with your
baby dolls and are so nuturing.

You have the sweetest most giving heart!
You are very friendly and everyone that meets you is completely in love with
you just like us!  You have a contagious smile which lights up the whole room
and a laugh to match.

We are so extremely blessed to have you as our daughter and we love you
so so so much.  We know this next year will bring many new and exciting
adventures with you and we are looking forward to every moment we have
with you.

A couple weeks ago after laying Ella down for her nap in her crib upstairs
I went to take a shower and after I got out I heard her crying and yelling for me
but not through the monitor but out in the living room.  So I ran out to the living
room in my towel and she was banging on the banister.  She had apparently climbed
out of her crib and thank God I had closed the gate at the top of the stairs!  So, that night
I went out and bought her the crib tent.  That was the night she started camping in her room
:-)  She loves it and it gives me peace of mind too!

Friday, Nov. 5th, Ella's 2nd Birthday, we woke up and made sweet potato
waffles together.  Topped with bananas, 2 candles and yummy agave syrup,
she blew out her candles.

Then we walked to the park and of course she LOVES the park!
She could swing for days and be perfectly content!

That night Pawpaw and Grandma came over to watch Parker while
Chris and I went to get her birthday gifts.  We had Chinese food which
lately seems like a Friday night ritual.

We got Ella a toysr us bear because they were 4.99 with a $50 purchase!

We gave her 1 of her gifts that night since it was her birthday.
We got her a tinkerbell tent and tunnel.

And of course she loves it!!!  She calls it her palace.

The next morning Uncle Jesse came by to meet Parker and visit with
Ella.  They love their Uncle Jesse!

Our families came over for Ella's birthday and we had a really great time.

She can't reach the pedals on the lowest setting but she still loves to play with it.

Aunt Jodi got Ella lots of cute clothes including this vest.

Grandma got Ella a Ragedy Ann...

She was dancing here...

Blake, Leah and Ethan got Ella a lady bug pillow to lay on when
she lays on her pallet.  She has already used it every day since then.

That tattoo still has not come off.  I swear I have been bathing my child...LOL

Cheesy picture of me...

Ella on her new sit and spin.
By the way she is shirtless because her sweater was itching her.

Granny bought her stuff for her baby...

This was the coolest birthday cake ever!  It was a ding dong cake
made by Amy at the Bake Shoppe

Avery obviously enjoyed it!

Ella enjoyed it too!

We are so thankful for our family for everything from all the food to
Ella's birthday gifts to their unconditional love and support.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and we thank
God for them every day!

Have a great week and God Bless!
