It seems as though it is getting harder and harder
to post updates on our blog but I'm
thinking it's just the holiday season and
I have thankfully been really busy with
photography sessions and editing :-)
We had a wonderful October and November
with Parker's 1st birthday and Ella's 3rd birthday.
They both had so much fun visiting with all their
family and friends!
They are growing up way to fast...it's hard to even
keep up! They are both doing lots of new cool things
and some not so cool...lol
Ella knows all her colors with no help.
She has been helping me cook quite a bit
and loves to "stir" things.
She's got a bit of an attitude lately with me
more than anyone else.
She has been "paci-free" for the past 2 weeks
which could be a big part of the reason
she's been so whinny and fussy.
We never really cared too much about her
having her paci despite other people's comments
about it not being good and such...I mean
good Lord, I sucked my thumb until
I was 8 years old, who am I to try and take
something away from my baby girl if
it soothed her at night only. But, we agreed that
once it became a problem that it was time to get rid of it.
For a couple days in a row she was crying for
it during the day which was unlike her as she
only had it at night. So, I told her
that I had to give her paci's to the newborn
babies because they needed them.
With that said, she hasn't taken a nap since
the paci went bye bye. She hasn't had much of
a hard time at night but she pretty much falls
asleep with us out in the living room and then we bring
her to our bed or to her bed.
She finally is able to reach the pedals on
her tricycle, loves the park,
loves to go outside with Daddy as soon as
he gets home from work every day
and always has a cup of ice to chew on!
Ella and Parker go on adventures together
every day and chase eachother.
Of course Ella laps him many times.
She tells us, "I'm not younger yet,"
when she doesn't understand something that we are
telling her.
Ella says, "good girl," when I do something
she likes,
she loves Ben Harper's song, "Better Way"
and sings it loudly every time we are in the car.
Oh and she swung on he big swings for the first time in October!
As for Peanut, he is doing so many new things!
He seems to always know what to do when I tell him
to do something. Like go get... or pick up your.... or go lay down.
He does "peek-a-boo"
gives high fives
walked a couple days before his first birthday
gives awesome kissses and hugs
waves goodbye,
says "uh oh,"
when he finds a napkin or tissue
on the ground, he picks it up and starts wiping the ground
with it..."cleaning up" for mommy!
holds my face with both of his hands on my cheeks...
He still does not like the sippie cup much...every now
and then I'll get him to drink some water out of it but
milk...no way. Bottle all the way still with warm milk.
He is now successfully and completely weaned. :-( :-)
I have mixed feelings about this only because I know this
was most likely the last time I would get to nurse my baby
since we don't plan on having any more babies
(or at least that is the plan).
But, I am glad to let him grow in his independence
(reluctantly - lol).
He is sleeping through the night most nights but at least
once a week gives me a loud screaming cry in the
middle of the night and continues with this for 30 mins. to an hour (like last night).
Now a week later(it took me a week to get back to this
post) he is waking up at all hours of the night
I'm guessing because his little toofies are bothering him.
Now to get going on the tons of pictures below...
I love Ella Bear's hands so I make sure to take a couple
pictures of them because I wanted to remember how
sweet and cute they are! |

 |
| love her little sausage toes! |
 |
Parker is now drinking his milk in the early morning (between 6am and 7am),
sometime around lunch time, between 5 and 6 and then again before bedtime
(around 9pm). He still takes pretty good mid-day naps.
He eats good sometimes and then sometimes not so good.
He does like apples though and mangoes and sweet taters. |

| Just playing around with the camera... |
 |
Um, yeah, you are really looking at Chris
sitting on the toilet bare butt out on the curb...on our street!
OK, here's the story behind this hilarious picture...
We got 3 new toilets while we were doing our
home repair this summer and our main man, Jose
encouraged Chris to sit on it and with his pants
pull down! And yes, people were driving by
and I am sure we are known as the THAT house now
with THOSE people who had a toilet out on the curb
for the trash guys to pick up. |

| Fun in the sun on Labor day at The Mahan's house. |

Parker's 1st birthday party was a blast! The food was fabulous,
the company was wonderful as always and Parker had fun too! |
 |
| Big sister enjoyed his party too! |
 |
| His first sweets ever! I think he liked it. |
 |
| And so did Ella! |
 |
Just like at Ella's 1st birthday party, we had to take Parker upstairs
and hose him down in the bathtub after cake time! |
 |
| Me and my daddy! |
 |
| The BEST Mom in the world and the BEST Mother-in-law in the world! |

Parker spent a good 10 minutes
looking at this book...it was really cute! |
 |

 |
The night of his birthday we took the balloons from his pictures in the forest
and released them...Ella helped him... |
 |
| Of course I had to get Ella a pink balloon of her very own. :-) |
 |
| Momma's babies! |
 |
| LOVE this pic and the ones above! |
 |
The day after Peanut's birthday, I showcased my photography at The Gypsy Market
with The Bake Shoppe & Cafe. I actually had a blast with Melissa and got some business
from it! |
 |
Back in October (I know...I am so far behind :-))
We went to Avery's 3rd birthday party at Dewberry Farm
and had a great time! |
 |
| I think Ella enjoyed the chocolate cupcake...what do you think? |
 |
| Love this picture of Leah & Big Easy! |
 |
| Love this one too! |
 |
Parker gives the best kisses! Speaking of kisses,
he usually wakes up between 6 and 7pm to drink a bottle of
milk and then lays back in the bed with me for a little while until
Chris gets up. This morning was the second morning that
he woke Chris up by giving him multiple kisses without
Chris even asking for them...it's the sweetest thing ever! |
 |

The day after Avery's birthday party Ella & I went back to

Over the thanksgiving break we went to Piney Shores in Lake Conroe
to stay at our time share. On the way there we stopped off at he lone star
trail and had a picnic and hiked a good couple steps and back :-) |
 |
Oh yeah, and Parker got his
first tooth at 13 months and now has 3! The 3rd one
is not quite all the way up yet...you can barely see it. |
 |
This is how Ella goes peepee in the woods, at the park
when there is no bathroom, etc...lol |
 |
There were a lot of cut down trees out in Conroe
because of the drought...it was really sad! |
