These Moments: April 13, 2012

{THIS moment}

. . . . . . . .
{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment
from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment.
A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
. . . . . . . . .
The picture above reminds me to stop and take a deep breath!
And boy did I need one!  This morning was a hectic one to say
the least.  Ella was crying/whinning, Parker was crying/whinning
and I was trying to get laundry done, make breakfast get them dressed
etc. etc. etc. You know how they say, "terrible twos,"
well, the "twos" ain't got nothin on the "threes!"

So, after a morning full of attitudes from my Ella Bear and lots of
whinning from Peanut,
I decided we needed to get out of the house!
We loaded up with lunch in hand and headed to Lowe's
to look at doors/windows and mirrors (that story later) and then
headed to the beautiful park on Cutten off of Cypresswood and to havepicnic and play time.
This was just what they needed...PLAY time at the park.

That moment above...

followed by all THESE moments...

This was a couple weeks ago...but I had to share...
looked back while we were stopped at a stop light because
I thought it was a little too quiet and
saw this!  ♥♥♥

Thats my girl!  nursing and baby wearing and all!
Following in mommy's footsteps!

So, last week, Ella didn't get to go to school
on Thursday because we were in a heap of
traffic like never before!  We sat in traffic for over 1 1/2 hours!
Almost sitting still!  We moved less than a mile in that amount
of time and it was sooooooooooo frustrating!
I tried to get to her school a different way but I guess
everyone else had the same idea.
So, we just headed home and went to the park by our house
since she had already missed
all of the play part of her day and really only had
lunch and nap left at school.
Peanut and Ella ended up eating the lunch I had prepared for
her to take to school so it all worked out and they had a blast!

All her silly little faces...

In case I didn't mention it before, we bought a new camper!
And here it is!  We went camping at lake livingston over spring break and
had a blast (even after having to pay $230 have a locksmith
come out to get new keys made for Chris'
truck because we "thought" we lost them.)
I can't wait to go again...looking forward to many memories with
Chris and the kiddos in this thing!

Peanut's mohawk that Sofia gave him.

Had to take a picture of Ella while she was sleeping
the other day because she was smiling off and on.
She must have been having a beautiful dream.

Ella on our way to school.'

First sprinkler time of this year!  It was pretty chilly...the water.

Peanut couldn't finish his meal...he was so tired!

This is usually what they do in the morning.  They both sit next to
each other and drink their milk while they wake up.
This morning here, they also were eating their
blueberry and banana pancakes I had just made for them.

Check out Peanut's wild bed head hair.

Playing with my phone camera. The action setting...pretty cool!

One day last week we dyed play silks for the kiddos with koolaid.
I never knew this could be so fun...lol

Ella helped by washing them out with cold water while Parker
just stuck his hand under the water and sucked on his hand.

These were the results...we ran out of koolaid and had 4 left to dye after this.
The kids LOVE playing with these!

Sometimes Peanut will stop and take time
to look through a book...but not often.

One of these days I'll have time to post
all of the pictures still on my camera and not
just the pics from my phone. :-)

Have a beautiful weekend and God Bless!
