Ella's last day of school and Miss Lauren leaving...

So, Thursday was our baby girl's last day
of school from her first preschool semester!

Bittersweet...
she loves school but she is growing up
way too fast!

She practically jumps up out of bed on
on Wednesdays and Thursday because she knows
she gets to go to school and see her friends.

She'll go back in the fall and start going
2 days a week with Ms. Helen...
and will be experiencing a new
multitude of super cool activities with her!

But, enough about that
SUMMER is here and
we get to explore, have adventures and
be with daddy more!

After school on Thursday we had a little potluck
snacky snack park fun for Miss Lauren since
she is leaving us to move back to Austin.

What an amazing person she is!  She certainly
left her mark on our hearts and minds!
We only just met her in January but
because she was taking care of our baby girl
on Thursdays at Great Oak, of course
we got to know her really well!

So this below is Ella's first class picture
with a couple of the Kindergartners and
another little guy in the back :-) and of course
Miss Lauren!

This is Ava!  Ella and Ava have been inseparable since the moment
she set foot inside that school!  Miss Lauren described them,
"As thick as thieves!"
And we will get to see sweet little Ava every Thursday and Friday this summer
since I will be keeping her for part of the day.
How fun is that going to be for Ella!!!

Maisie, Ava, Miss Lauren and Ella

We call this tandem swinging...

Ella was getting embarrassed here because
everyone as cheering her on to make
it all the way across...

Last weekend was Maisie's b-day party...oh what fun
and the food...YUMMY!

The cupcakes were fabulous!  Can you tell?

Last Sunday we went swimming at Aunt Marsha's...
Yep, if we aren't home, at the beach in Galveston,
on the Guadalupe River...you'll find us here!

Ella starts swim lessons with Mrs. Keri next week...
we swam for a good 30 minutes today without
her floaties!

our baby girl...we love you!

Ella can write her name now...sometimes she
makes the "L's" backwards but non the less it's her name
and it is really cool and she is really proud!
She also can write P's and M's. (P-Parker and M-Miller).

She sings a A LOT...beautiful singing...makes my
heart smile!  And she tells us, "I want something else..."
constantly throughout the day...meaning she wants
more food.  She must be going through a growth spurt!
I feel like I am running out of ideas for snacks (healthy ones).
Her and Parker eat enough apples, pears and mangos for like
5 kids seriously!

She told me a couple weeks ago, while we were in bed,
"Mommy, I feel God in my heart." ♥♥♥

She also asked me what God's house was like and does
he have animals there.
I told her it was nice and peaceful and there were plenty of animals.

We hold hands while we fall asleep most nights.

She LOVES to have me or Chris run our fingers through her
hair or rub her back.

She mentioned the other day that she wanted to do "Ring around
the Rosey," at her wedding.

She loves doodling on blank paper with a pen, crayons, markers
or colored pencils...most if not all of the times she is doodling
she doodles on her legs too. ;-)

She likes to tell us secrets and most of the time it involves
her wanting to watch Kipper or Cailou shows.

She is also getting good at making deals lately.
For instance, she says, "Mommy, I'll take a bath
and then we can watch Kipper, is that a good deal?"
lol

sweet baby girl!

Our summertime backyard...pink and purple

So, there aren't any other pics of Peanut this time but,
he's doing great too.

It seems like when he learns a new word
he says it over and over again and even sometimes
in the middle of the night he will wake up
and say it a couple times and then go back to sleep.

He is getting two more toofies on the bottom and they
seem to come up and go back in or something
because I saw the little white tips several weeks ago and
then I didn't and now I do again. ???

He says, "tissue (every time he sneezes even if there isn't snot and
he says snot too), milk, yellow, blue, green, apple, eat (you know
when he is hungry because he'll say eat, eat, eat...over and over again).

He is starting to get used to the water.
He gets a little freaked out when water gets on his head
even in the bathtub.  But he has definitely gotten better
over the past couple months.

We'll have more updates on him next post. :-)

Swimming again!  This is Ella's little friend Abby.

Have a great weekend and God Bless!
