Galveston, Family Reunion & Playing at the Park

Let's start this LONG post off with a sweet picture
of Daddy and Peanut in the pool.  I think this was
taken back at the beginning of June at Aunt Marsha's house.

Ella LOVES playing dress up with Sofia!

Love this series of pics of Ella & Daddy!
He loves his baby girl and she loves her daddy!

I love them!

OK, so back in June right before father's day
we finger painted cool trees using their hands for Daddy.
I drew in the truck and branches of the tree
and then they placed their hands above that
a couple different times to make the leaves.
It turned out so awesome!
Ava made one for her daddy.

Mid June we went to Galveston for our annual 1 week
vacation at the beach house.
We had a BLAST!  It seemed a little easier this year
with Parker because he was a little more
self sufficient and played better by himself.
In other words I got to relax a little more.

Soon after we got there and unloaded, we headed down the
seawall and grabbed dinner at FishTails right in front of the new
Pleasure Pier.  That was like putting candy in front of Ella.
As we waited for our table upstairs on the patio, she watched the swings go by.

Can you see the frustration on Ella's face...lol
They fight over Daddy when they are with him
and me too.

Had a fun dinner!

The next day we headed straight to the beach right in front of the beach house...
it was bit overcastbut still nice and breezy.  Peanut ate  A LOT of sand!

LOVE this picture!  It is going up in our beach bathroom
as soon as I get some frames to go up on the wall!

I absolutely LOVE this time with my family
even if it is Galveston with all the seaweed
and brown water :-)

The Pleasure Pier is right down the street from the beach house.

LOVE this pic of Ella Bear and yes, it will be going up in the
beach bathroom too!!!

The next day we drove out to the west end
where we could drive on the beach and use the truck
to listen to music and have all of our stuff right there.

Ella got to fly her turtle kite which was so cool!
Until the storm came and it was thundering and lightening and
Chris didn't want to be like Benjamin Franklin and get electrocuted
so he had to let it go. :-(

It was again overcast but we could see a storm headed our
way in the background.

Yep you guessed it, these will be going in that bathroom too! lol

This girl...let me tell you...she can have the biggest attitude
and then be the sweetest baby girl in the world!

An update on her...Ella tells us she loves being in the bed with us
because she feels safe and that no monsters can get her.

She loves calling her grandparents!
She asks if she can call mainly her Granny and Grandma.

She love playing with Sofia and Ethan and gets along great with them.
When Sofia and Ella are together, they pretty much leave Roman
out every time and that makes me sad!  They treat him like he's the monster.
You know...normal kid stuff but I just want them all to get along.

She told me, You are my Best Mommy!"  LOVE!

She calls the maracas, "Remacas"

She is groing slowly but surely...
Back on 1/12-2012 she was 3 ft. tall and weighed 28 lbs.
Today 7/27/2012 she is 3 3/4 ft. tall and weighs 30 lbs.
She still wears some 2T clothes but mainly wears 3T.

She is enjoying Ava's company on Thursdays and Fridays
but boy do they argue!  I know it's normal but geeze!
I do remember arguing with my girl cousins and friends
a lot when I was little too.  I remember feeling left out of
certain situations and it breaks my heart when I think of Ella
feeling this way.
I know it's life but man, couldn't we just skip over that part?  lol

She is so funny and loves to dance, sing and hop on 1 foot.

She always tells us to watch her when she is hopping.

I love this girl!

So, I took all of these right before we had to pack up and go
because of the storm.  It got really got bad and as we were driving down
the seawall I took a video but of course it was too big to upload here.

Mandy girl LOVES being with us at the beach
especially since she gets all the attention.

Chris found oil!  Not cool!

Since it was raining outside, we were forced to hang out in the house
and PLAY lol

Peanut loves climbing on Mandy!  and giving her kisses!

No playing here...Ella slept.

Love these pics of Peanut and Daddy playing.

He is hilarious!  The personality on this sweet boy...HUGE!

One last hug for Mandy!

After the rain stopped we got ready and went to the strand
to walk around.  Ella and I had a photo shoot while Daddy
was in a store and Peanut was asleep.

Love these next couple in both color and b&w so I had to post both!

Ella's debut photo shoot of mommy!

The next day we went out to the west end again and had a blast
all day at the beach.

These glasses are a bit big huh?

My baby!

Cheesy, I know but we do this every year...lol

Our last day there, we ate lunch at Float pool and restaurant.
They have fabulous fish tacos and it was nice to be in somewhat
fresh water instead of being all sandy for a change.  We had a great
time!

The next day, we went Grandma Glenda's house for Chad's
graduation/family reunion.  We got to see the Palombos too!

Ella and Kyndal

Pretty neat frame Gmaw Glenda made for
the reunion of all the women in their family.

Absolutely LOVE this picture of Chad and Ian!

More pool time at Aunt Marsha's

Now Park play time...

My babies!  They are the BEST!
How do you like that belly hanging out of Peanut's shirt?  lol

First of all Ella is wearing long sleeves and long tights
in the heat of the summer...why...not sure and secondly,
Peanut has no drawers on. These two love playing in the dirt!
Ella had her very first Slumber party at our house with her sweet little friend Ava.
They were stretching in this picture.

sweet girls

Daddy playing horsey right before bedtime.

Took the kiddos to the park this morning.  It was soooooooo HOT!

Monday, Therese and I went to Galveston and stayed in the beach house
for the night.  We had an awesome time!

Relaxing have a My Ty at Float.

We spent the morning on the beach and the whole afternoon at float in the pool.
It was really nice!

Made the babies a "happy breakfast" last weekend. :-)

A couple Great Oak mamas and I got together last Sunday for a small
baby shower for Melanie (One of Ella's first teachers).  One of the mamas
brought in a "Henna" lady and we all got to have something drawn on us!
It was pretty neat!

Peanut and I had a photoshoot while Ella and Daddy were sleeping. :-)

my sweet boy!

I've said it before...Parker is LOUD!

I don't think I have heard any other child that is this loud.

He and Ella play "boodies on the bed" (our lounge/mattress in the living room)
which sounds like they are saying "booooies on the bed".
It's just playing on the mattress and Ella says it close to bedtime each night to Parker.

Peanut like us to kiss his feet.

He is saying so much now...of course still I LOVE YOU,
OUTSIDE, NOSE, HEAD, MOUTH, EYES, TOE, (definitely knows
body parts), CHEESE, PANTS, (loves his pants).

If he hears the door open or hears the dogs bark he runs over in that
direction yelling mommy, daddy or ella...whoever
is coming in the door.

They love to play hide-n-go-seek together.
But what is funny is they hide in the same place each time
each one of them.  Peanut says READY GO.

Parker has been taking his diaper off alot lately
and he says POTTY so we go put him on the potty
and he sits there and wants toilet paper and then says DONE.
No peepee or poopoo yet though...lol

Peanut is growing slowly but surely too...

1/12/2012 he was 28 1/4" and weighed 18 lbs.
Today 7/27/2012 he is 29 3/4" and weighs 20 lbs.

These measurements are mainly for me and the kiddos to see
once they get older :-)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

God Bless!
