Happy Happy Birthday to our sweet little Parker...
This is who you are at 2 years old...tear...can't believe you are already 2!!!
The sweetest baby boy in the universe! You, like your sister, give the best LOVE! Your hugs are so tight and genuine with so much heartfelt love in them! Your kisses are as sweet as sugar and your "I LOVE YOU's (I-ove -yoooooou)" abundant and melts our hearts! You tell us, out of the blue, at least 50 times a day, "I LOVE YOU" just for the heck of it. You've been singing "Lullaby" from the Pajanimals on Sprout for the past couple of weeks (first song you sing all the way through) and it is the sweetest, most beautiful sound ever! You love your big sister so much...even when she beats up on you, you still want to play with her and do what she is doing. Last night, on your birthday, in your sleep, you said, "Mommy, I love you" a couple times. You are very sensitive! You wear your heart on your sleeve (you can thank Mommy for this one!) You get your feelings hurt very easily when we tell you, "No" or explain to you why you shouldn't do something because you could get hurt or hurt someone else. That bottom lip pops right out and you've got the pouting thing down pat! When you get mad at Mommy, you go to Daddy and vice versa so you constantly go back and forth. But, for the most part, you are seriously a "Momma's Boy!"
You are our good little eater! You pretty much eat anything and everything and usually clear off your entire plate with the exception of a few meals. You really like beans of any kind right now, eggs, apples, really any fruit and of course any sweets you can get your hands on which is very seldom :-) Speaking of eating...you LOVE to eat dirt! I know gross but you know that saying, "God made dirt and dirt don't hurt..." well, that's our take on it because you are constantly in it and have it in your mouth. We've pretty much given up on keeping you away from it.
You LOVE being outside with Daddy! You get so excited to go outside with daddy in the back yard to play every day! You love being outside! You love riding the plasma car that Ella got for Christmas last year! You have certainly gotten more use out of that thing than Ella Bear. You and Ella usually have a cup of ice, are naked (when it's warmer) and a "baby" (stuffed animal) in your hand when you are heading outside with Daddy. I love that ya'll get to have this time with Daddy one since he is at school all day and two because it gives me time to cook dinner with few interruptions inside. This is a loved daily routine in our family and part of the rhythm of our home.
A few more things about you at two years old...
You always get excited to see your grandparents...you don't always show it when you first get there but on the way to their houses, you are always saying their names!
You love the book, "The Little Blue Truck" and you say beep beep beep anytime you hear a car beep on the road. Something heard a good 100 times in the car each and every day is, "Big Truck!!!" said with tons of excitement! Lately, since it's fall and almost halloween, you see a big pumpkin on our way to and from Ella's school and you yell out, "pumpkin patch!" and any other time you see pumpkins, you say this. There is also a huge purple monkey on top of a building of a car dealership on 249 that you say, "ooh, ooh, ahh, ahh" like a monkey every time we pass it!
You are a restless sleeper (more at night than nap time) and you can thank daddy for this one! You still pretty much wake up at least once a night whining sometimes more than others. You take awesome naps during the day and go down fairly well but man when it comes to bedtime...that's another story! You get all bent out of shape when it's time to go to bed. You are so loud at bedtime and daddy thinks this is your way of trying to fall asleep and definitely part of being restless. You have been sleeping in bed with mommy, daddy and Ella for the past couple months and boy that has taken some getting used to for sure! You and Ella are all over the place! While I don't get much sleep but just enough, I feel comfort and peace knowing ya'll are both in our room and in our bed!
You have the best manners of any child I know! We must have taught you well LOL...or maybe you are just that good! You know exactly when to say thank youand are still working on the "please." You also clean really good when it comes to wiping things down! You had a wonderful birthday today and enjoyed all the special things just for you!
