Happy Birthday to our sweet little Ella Bear!

As I was holding our sweet Ella Bear in my arms this
morning, right after she woke up, I thought back to this
day 4 years ago and could see it and feel it as if I were
back in Willowbrook Methodist Hospital holding my
new little blessing in my arms.  I still catch myself
staring at her and thinking to myself, "She's my daughter!?"
and how blessed we are to have her in our lives!
Without getting too mushy...

Ella Bear, this is who you are at 4 years old...

You are still a LOVER and have a huge heart...
You tell us all day long that you love us, "this big,"
while holding your arms out as wide as they can go
and to the stars, universe and moon and back.
When you are in a "Loving" mood, you give the best hugs,
kisses and lovin to me, daddy and Parker!  and your
grandparents too.  You love to cuddle at night...and yes, you
sleep with us each and every night. Some nights you want
to cuddle with me and some nights with daddy and you always
remind us when we are getting in bed that you want to cuddle
as if we would forget or something :-)

You LOVE to read...look at pictures and make up stories.
We usually read to you and then you read the same book to
Parker.  Every time Granny comes over or you go over there
you make sure she reads to you at least 4 or 5 books.  Today,
on your birthday, on our way home from Herman Park, you
told Granny you didn't want her to go home because you wanted
her to read to you. You have always loved books but you seem
to have more interest in them lately.

You love your "babies" little stuffed animals, baby dolls....
anything you can put in your shirt (to make you look like you
are pregnant), anything you can play "nurse/breastfeed,"
put in the high chair, wrap up in a blanket, read to, sing to or
play with is your baby.  You are very maternal and I hope this
trait continues forever!  With that said, your imagination is
so awesome!  You turn the lids to mommy's pots into steering
wheels, you love to play restaurant at the park (in the little window)
or at home in your kitchen, you and your brother make forts
daily...the list of your creative imagination could go on and on.

A couple things you are currently having a blast with...
Playing the "your poot smells like..." game with daddy.
This is completely a daddy game and Granny has joined in a
couple times when Ella starts it up.
They both come up with the craziest stuff to say each other's
poots smell like.  And Parker has now joined in the smelly fun
too.   Yes, I know...a day can not go by in this household
without the words poot, fart, poop or poo poo being said!

A couple days ago, while you were playing outside with
Daddy and Parker, riding your new bike, you said, "Daddy,
Daddy!!!!  I'm stuck, I'm stuck, Oh, wait a minute, I like this!"
(Your bike was on uneven ground and your back wheel
wasn't touching the ground, just your training wheels were.
So, you would pedal and pedal and your wheels would spin.
You and daddy got such a kick out of you freaking out because
you were stuck but then you kind of liked it.  lol

Any given day, listening to the sounds in our house, you will
hear Ella singing...familiar songs as is and then familiar tunes
with her own words.  You LOVE to sing.  You just recently
started singing more songs in the car while listening to KSBJ.
It's really awesome to hear you sing spiritual music like
Our God is Greater by Chris Tomlin...
"Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome and power
Our God, Our God..."
or another is a song by Plumb...
"How many times have you heard me cry out
God please take this
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing
Oh, I need you
God, I need you now."
Makes me so proud!

You say, "You crack me out!" instead of you
crack me up!  lol  When you have had enough
sweets, you say, "I'm done with all the sugar!"

Things that make you happy...having
your fingernails and
toenails painted, ice cream, being
tickled, snuggling with us,
watching Berenstain Bears,
surprises (you LOVE
surprises), skirts and tights (you ask for these every day),
dried
mangoes, going to the grocery store,
playing outside with
Daddy, going to the park, picking
flowers, your "soffie"
blanket and snuggles, your black patent
hand-me-down
flip flops even in the winter, being
read to or us telling
you a story, playing with your friends and cousins,
Chick-Fil-A, french fries (just like your momma!)

What an amazing spirit you are Ella Bear...we look forward
to watching you grow each and every day and
all the new things you will do and say!

We love you and may God continue to watch over you
and keep you safe, healthy and happy!
