Lantern Walk and St. Nicholas visits Great Oak

Back in early November (I think Nov. 9th), Ella's school
had another beautiful festival called the Lantern Walk.
Each and every child made a lantern out of a mason jar
and decorated it with paper and finger knitted the yarn
as the handle.
Myself and Devin (another mama) set up paper bags with
lights through the field making a pathway for families to
make "The Lantern Walk." The children thought it was so neat
and I have to say, I did too!
After the walk, there were homemade treats and apple cider
in the cubby room for all to enjoy!
This school is seriously Heaven on Earth!

Peanut looking into the bag!  cutie!

The first graders did the paper with star lanterns in the back.

Miss Kelsey (Ella's assistant kinder teacher)
being attacked with love by Ava and Ella!

St. Nicholas visits Great Oak!!!

The children all patiently waiting!

He's here!

He was so authentic looking!

St. Nicholas brought REAL peppermints from The Netherlands!

He knew all about each and every child...
He knew that Ella had been teaching her brother
his ABC's, kindness and compassion and The Golden Rule!

So special!!!
