Living on Country time, celebrating Mother's day and Father's day

After getting back from NYC late late Sunday night, we had a nice relaxing Monday
where the kiddos just hung out in their pi's and played outside a bit.
Once again, the little nature gifts they give me are so sweet and special!

I made them a little shade tent out of a hula hoop and old sheets…
they had lunch and played "family" in it!

That next day, my back was hurting so bad from being on my feet for 12 hours straight
in NYC so I let the kids make peanut butter toast by themselves for breakfast after giving them very thorough instructions of course.  They asked me if I wanted some and I told them no thank you
but they still surprised me with a heart shaped piece of toast.

We went to Uncle Jesse and Shawn's later that week to go swimming in their pool and hang out.

Because Leah was out of town on Mother's day and we didn't want to all get together
without her, we celebrated it the weekend after we returned from NYC.

The kiddos watching the rain

love these of my little Peanut watching the rain!

Our first week out of school we went out to the country, to
cousin Michael's family country house.  It was so beautiful out there!  They have 60 acres that
we got to ride four wheelers on, play in the creek, watch a nice rain storm and just
hang out on country time.

Bo and Parker, Jo, Ella and I taking a ride in the side by side.

There was huge field of these!

cousins!

This is what I mean by country living!  And all the dew berries they picked the day before!

cute little tree house they built out of scraps.

Thought this little mushroom was cute.

one of the 3 deer blinds on the property that the kids thought was a nice tree house ;-)

There is an awesome creek running through their property as well
that the kiddos played in.

I swear Chris is the animal whisperer...

Chris let each of the kids drive and boy did they have a blast!

about to go jump in the creek!

Jo surprised me with a trip into town to get a magical
pedicure with a 15 min. shoulder, neck and back massage afterwards!

There was a large vine hanging down that the kids swung across the creek
on like tarzan!

He loves mud!

fairy presents, butterflies and cousin in the creek.

Had a great time in the country…now we're headed home!

Almost forgot the mudslide the kids made!

We celebrated Father's Day the night before with my dad at Cypress Station since
we'd be out in Navasota for the last time the next day.
We had a nice dinner with Granny and Poppa and enjoyed each other's
company.  I am so blessed to have this man as my dad!

These will be the last pics taken in Navasota at Gmaw Glenda and Pappy's old house
since they have sold it and are moving to the College Station area.
Great memories have been made here!

I couldn't ask for a better father-in-law.  I love me some big!

kind of dark but you get the picture!  lol  only missing uncle greg!

the kiddos love Sara and Chase!

Playing at the park...Ella already looks up to Sara so much!

The kids weekly trip to Denny's with Grandma
and Pawpaw.

Had to get these kids out of the house for a bit so I
took them to the park in the neighborhood for a while to
run some energy off!  They played with a lady bug most of the time.

More summertime fun to come!
