Ella's First Roadtrip

Last weekend we loaded up the truck and Chris, Ella, Jodi & I headed West to the Hill Country (Kerrville, TX) to visit the Miller side of the family. We stayed with Chris' Dad and Kathy (aka Poppa Joe and Nana). They showered us with lots of love, wonderful hospitality and delicious foods! This was my first time going to the hill country and meeting Chris' Grandma Miller, Aunts and cousins.

We had a really great and relaxing time and Ella was so good both on the trip there and back!

She is growing up so fast...look she's already driving! LOL

Saturday, we went to visit Chris' Aunt Kay in Kerrville and then to see the two different places they used to live and how far they had to walk to school each day. It was seriously like a mile!

Chris said he used to climb this tree all the time and they used to go down this huge hill to get to their bus stop every day. It seemed like a small mountain to me!

Ella sleeps in the craziest positions! She likes to have her face buried against something and her neck always looks like she is uncomfortable but hey if she's comfy then so be it.

Ella got to meet her Great Grandma Miller!!! How special is that! I didn't get to meet any great grandparents but Chris had a very close relationship with his Great Grandma! So neat!

Sunday, several people came over to Poppa Joe and Nana's for a BBQ. I took a walk around their 1 acre wide/6 acre long property and got some typical Hill Country pictures...lots of cactus!

We walked the back part of their property later that day and I strapped Ella Bear in her carrier. It wasn't look before she fell fast asleep. Here are her sleepy eyes...

and she's out! She had a busy busy day meeting all of her relatives!

Chris has been home with Ella on Spring Break this week so he's gotten lots of videos of her. Here are a couple of pictures from this week...

Ella got to wear her little St. Patricks Day outfit...hand-me-down!!! It had aclover on the boodie too!

Chris took this yesterday when he had to go turn off the oven...she learned to hold her own bottle...with a little help of course ;-)
