Mother's Day - Happy Day

Mother's Day this year was quite different because I got to celebrate it as a Momma myself! Saturday night we went over to KK's to cook her dinner and visit and celebrate Mother's Day with her. I totally forgot to take out my camera though so I'll have to take extra pictures the next time we go over there! This year we are taking our Mommas to lunch and shopping afterwards (Chris & Ella with KK and then Me & Ella with Granny) for their gifts.
Sunday morning, I woke up to feed Ella Bear around 6-6:30am then we went back to sleep until about 9:30am or so. Chris brought us brunch in bed (well on the couch) and took me outside for my Mother's day gift which several plants including a couple flowers and a rose bush because he knows that as soon as we get into our new house that I want to make a little santuary of plants in the backyard since most of it is basketball court. They are beautiful and I can't wait to plant them all and watch them grow! But before they gave me the plants Chris said he and Ella wrote me a lemric in leu of a card. It was very sweet and I am so blessed to have them! Lucky and Sofie have been staying at my parents while we are at Jodi's house in the midst of the move. My mom called to say that Sofie and Lucky were acting very strange and seemed like they were having reactions to their rabies shots they received the day before. She said Sofie was having labored breathing and was practically lifeless and Lucky was like a slow mo Lucky. So, we took them into the emergency vet clinic and were there for a good 3-4 hours. Sofie ended up getting treated with a benedryl shot and an anti-inflamatory shot. And they told us to just keep and eye on Lucky and both of them for that matter.
We then went to Granny & Poppa's for a good ole fashioned fish fry which my Pawpaw used to have for us very often. It was awesome and we had a really good time visiting and seeing little Ethan who is almost as long as Ella and only weighs about 2 lbs. less than her and he is 4 months younger... :-)
Here are a couple pics from Sunday at Granny & Poppa's house.

Lucky & Sofie at the emergency clinic...they would never have posed for this picture if they were feeling better.

I did a session for my friend Anner of her family (Berto & Lucas) a couple weeks back when they came in town from Chicago and wanted to share a couple of my favorites.
Little L! This was the first timeI got to meet him!
Such a sweet family!
Berto took this of Ann, Lucas & I after the session was finished.
We'll have another busy weekend with finishing up on the touch ups on our townhome for the renters to move in next week, Chris' jump rope team is performing at the Berry Center for the Cy-Fair Health Expo, the Rockets are playing on Sunday at 3pm and you bet your boodie we'll be watching that! Hopefully we won't be too busy to take a couple picture though.
On another note, Ella is starting to get mobile! She has been scooting a lot up on her hands and knees. She babbles those sweet little nothings all the time. I love when she cacthes a glimpse of her hand passing by...she turns it and looks at both sides and then starts swinging it back and forth hitting herself in the tummy and then on the couch behind her. She has discovered that she has hair and grabs it and rubs her head often especially while I am fedding her. She loves her her stroller! We have been going on walks aorund the block in Aunt Jojo's neighborhood after we get home from work and she seems so relaxed the whole time just taking it all in. She's been reaching out to us when she wants to go to us. She's just amazing and I know all parents think their children are amazing but I never imagined just how amazing it would be!
Congratulations to Pearl & Johnny...Airic, Alston & Aaden (yes healthy triplet boys) were born this morning at 8:12pm...Praise the Lord for a complication free labor & delivery! Congrats to Uncle Papa & Aunt Becca Boo too...I'm certain that ya'll will be very busy helping out!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Be safe and God Bless!
