improve my post time back to what I used to do
(once a week). Chris, Ella & I went to the Guadalupe
River in New Braunfels last weekend with Chris'
family and had a really great time! Well, most of
the time it was fun...let me explain...
The day we got there, we set up our chairs in a part
of the river where the water was a little higher than
my knees. So, the water came to about the bottom of
the canvas part of the chairs. Well, we couldn't just sit
back a relax and let Ella play in the water in a float or her
floaties like the pool or else the river current would take
her away. So, we had to either have her in our lap or in
between our legs in the water which came up to her waist
and sometimes a little higher. She's in between her daddy's legs here...

Well, if you have a toddler, even a pretty laid back one, you
know that he/she is going to want to be able to move
around and play in the water and not be stuck in between
your legs with you holding her hostage for long. So, we
played in the water a bit but not too long and then I had
to just take her on up to the cabin for the night because I
was worn out! :-)
The next day was better though because we found a more
shallow area off to the side for Sofia and Ella to play in and
where Grandma, Pawpaw and myself could still set up our
chairs. All the while, Chris, Colton & his friend Lucas, Jojo
& Marsha headed off to float the 3 hour river trip which I
would have done if I wasn't pregnant. Ella and Sofia played
in the river for a good 4 hours and had a grand ole time! Grandma got them matching river shoes!

Ella loved throwing the rocks into the river and seeing
the splash they made.

The view was beautiful especially from Gilligan's
Island where we stayed.

Sweet little Sofia...growing up so fast!

Ella sat in the same place for a really long time which
was good to know she could entertain herself for a little while :-)

As far as an update on Ella Bear...she's having a blast at
home with her Daddy this summer. They've been to the
pool a couple times when Chris isn't doing stuff for our
renter and of course they've been sleeping in.
Ella switched to saying Mommy & Daddy instead of Momma
and Dada a couple weeks ago. We aren't sure where she got
that from since I call Chris Dada and he calls me Momma.
And what's funny is that she changed both at the same time.
So, her most frequent words/sentences are "Hi Mommy" and
"Hi Daddy" even if we never go out of sight, she will say that
if she sees us walk into the room. I'll never get tired of hearing
that!
She had a spinach and tomato pizza last night and so she
continuously said "pizzzzza." She had some ribbon in her
hands that said, "It's a boy" that I use during maternity session
and I told her what it said and she said, "boy" a thousand times
after that. We are still working on Granny and Grandma but she
has said them a couple times just not often. She pretty much
can repeat most words after us now and she says please and thank
you as well. She still does thank you, milk & more in sign
language along with saying the word and we are trying to
teach her more signs too.
Unfortunately this child LOVES cookies n cream ices cream
just like her mother ;-) but I usually don't eat it as often as I
do when I a pregnant. A couple nights ago I gave her a bite
of my oreo shake from chik-fil-a in between each bite for me
and before I could even finish my bite, she would sign and say
"more." She also LOVES sweet potato fries, still has a
facination with ice and bubbles oh and now says "Mandy"
(our boxer's name). Mandy is so good with her and lets
her run all over her! The other two are not as laid back though!
If she even touches Lucky's back he gets a little irritated and if
Ella starts running towards Sofie she'll bark or growl or she'll
just run away :-(. So, all in all, Ella is just getting smarter
and smarter every day!!!
As for Parker peanut, he is a kicker! I started feeling him
kick at 16 weeks and now that I am 23 weeks he is pretty
much doing kickboxing in there! Ella pats my belly all the
time and says "baby" and she also thinks she and Chris
have babies in their belly too. She's going to be a wonderful
and loving big sister...at least I hope she will!
My next appointment is July 7th but it's just a regular
check-up, no ultrasound or anything.
We picked out his bedding and love it! I definitely
wanted something with green in it so this was perfect!
And it has so many pieces that come with it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
and be safe!
Oh and thank you to all of my friends and family
who have been praying for my amazing friend Rebecca
and her little baby. She is doing so much better and
continues to make amazing strides towards her recovery
every day! Prayer is so powerful which I have always
known and seen and this time is no different. The
amount of people praying for her and the baby, whether
they know her or not, is unreal and is definitely making
a difference! So, thank you again! She is going to make
a 100% recovery and I can't wait for her and Paul to get
to enjoy parenthood!
God Bless!
