Ella Bear playing in the sprinkler. This was her first time to
partake in the age old summer tradition and she seemed
to really enjoy it! I remember playing in the sprinklers
growing up all the time and it just popped in my head one
day that she had never gotten to do this. I took last Tuesday
off because Chris had a training for school to go to and so
I got to spend the day with my baby bear! We met Daddy for
lunch at Five Guys Burgers and Fries (this was our first time
going there) and OMG...was that a treat! If you know me,
you know that I LOVE hamburgers and french fries.
Although I do try to limit my intake of them...:-)
The amount of fries you get with a regular order is massive!
The burger is massive too! I know where to go to get my
fix now!
Then we went to Lowe's to get some more
paint for Parker's room and did a little early birthday
shopping for me so I could get some comfy clothes!
Once we got back to the house, Ella & I both took a nap
and then headed outside to play in the sprinkler.
I have come to the conclusion that I will need to do
this once a month (take off during the week-not a
holiday- to enjoy a day of playing
hookie with my Ella Bear-paid or not!)
It was an awesome day and it felt so good to be at home with her.

Now I must digress...we (Chris, Jojo and I) went to the
Jack Johnson concert Wednesday night out at The Woodlands
Pavillion to celebrate Chris' birthday. His b-day was in May
but that's when I gave him the tickets. It was a totally
awesome concert and we wish we could do that every week! .
Well, maybe not on a weekday but it was so laid back, enjoyable and relaxing!
Jack Johnson is such an amazing artist and definitely an
all time favorite of mine and Chris'! This picture is obviously
really blurry but I don't like to tell a story without a picture.
So, on with the story...after being there, on the lawn,
for a good 20 minutes or so, it started pouring down rain on us!
There was a huge storm brewing above and the lightning
and thunder was extremely strong and loud! We brought a
blanket to sit on but that ended up covering us and then
got soaked along with us. My purse (cotton) was soaked along
with everything inside and thank God my phone survived the
downpour. So, to make a long story short, when we got home
we were still very damp and had caked on, dry mud all over
our feet and shoes but we had a smile on our face because
we had just enjoyed an awesome concert! Jodi had her (waterproof)
camera so I'll post some of those once I get them, but until then
this was the best I got from my camera on my phone.

More camera phone pics...this one is from sometime this
summer at home with Daddy. Chris was playing around with
his phone and sent this to me.

These were Ella's first piggie tails! that her Aunt Jojo did for her.
I love them!

This was last Sunday before the pre-season opener for
the TEXANS! We are really excited for football season to
start...can you tell? LOL This is Ella's little Texans cheerleader
outfit and it has a turtleneck that goes with it to for when
it gets cooler! You'll be seeing her in this or something else
that has the Texans logo on it pretty much every weekend
until December or so and hopefully on into January
when they make the playoffs!

Back to sprinkler pictures...

LOVE this one! This one might go on the wall in a frame!

Do you think I took enough pictures of Ella Bear playing
in the sprinkler? LOL
These next several pics are from an afternoon spent at
Aunt Marsha's for Chris' Pappy's birthday.

We think Ella may be part fish...LOL

Jumping to her Daddy...

My beautiful little Sofia...Sofia is all fish we have determined.

And handsome Roman in his fireman shirt...

Ella making a face that her daddy makes!

LOVE this one of the two of them!

The only time Ella got out of the pool was to eat her
corn on the cob! She tore it up!
Ac ouple other things she has been saying and doing...
Chris "flies" her in the air and so she asks to be "flown" often.
She just started saying "Otay Mommy" after I say something
like, "You have to eat our dinner before you get your milk, OK?"
She started saying Mrs. Gloria's name and knows all her friend's
there too and can say them surprisingly very well!
She tells us when she has just gone potty in her diaper...not that
you really want to know this bit of information but this blog
is also an archive of things Ella does and says and pictures for
her to look back at as the years go by. It's also for me to look
back at and reminisce.
She's been dancing more and more each day and does some
funky little moves like her daddy.
One of my most favorite things that she does right now is
that she randomly comes up to me & Chris and gives us sweet
love. She does it more to Chris since they were home together
all summer but she does it me every now and then and it is totally unexpected and she just comes up to me and puts her hands
around my leg and squeezes and kisses me! She does the same
to Chris but she'll usually does it to him when he is on the floor
with her. It's just the sweetest thing EVER!

Here are a couple of my favorites that I took of my sweet little
6 month old neice, Stella.

As for Parker peanut, he is growing like a weed! I have a
big ultrasound next week so I'll be posting pics of that and
me next post.
This weekend we will be celebrating Aunt Leah's birthday
and hopefully finish painting Parker's room! We planned
on purchasing his furniture probably by the beginning of
September just in case the little peanut comes early like
his sister.
Other than that hopefully it will be a low key, laid back
weekend with lots of relaxing.
Hope everyone has a great one and God Bless!
