Our trip to Galveston and Parker Bear...

To start off, Granny brought over her old purse for Ella filled with jewelry
(bracelets and necklaces). Ella played with it, taking everything out and
putting it on and taking it off, putting it back in the purse and closing it a good
10 times. She already loves jewelry! Thank you Granny!

Yes, you heard me right, I said Parker Bear in the title. Chris and I both instinctively
call himParker Bear. I'm Momma Bear, Chris is Poppa Bear, Ella Bear and Parker Bear.
We are the Bears...LOL I know, we are silly...
Here is our most recent ultrasound pics of Parker Bear...this profile looks the same
as Ella's at 32 weeks! The doc said everything looked great and looks right on track.
I am 33 weeks today and am feeling good but am a little tired lately. No complaints
here though. I feel so blessed to be carrying this sweet little boy and to be adding
to our family. I go to the doc every two weeks now so I'll have an update next week.

Now to get to our trip to Galveston Labor Day weekend...It was our last little vacation
as "3" and we had a blast! Granny bought Ella a Momo (Elmo) doll and she sleeps with it every night!

Ella was rip roarin ready to go to the beach the next morning! She kept saying "beach"
but it sounded like "b**ch" if you know what I mean...LOL

Here's my 32 week preggo belly. This will have to do for the progression pics...LOL

This is my favorite picture of Ella at the beach!
We relaxed in the water and it was surprisingly very clear and clean! The beach
in front of the house we stayed at on 11th looked like they combed it every night so
there wasn't any trash or seaweed.

"The bump" I wasn't to get some color...good ole vitamin K, on my stomach
because it was pale! LOL

Daddy and Ella

Love this picture of them and Ella's crooked smile!

Another favorite!

That night we went to the strand and Chris & Ella surprised me with reservations
to eat at Luigi's. Chris's grandfather took him there on his 21st birthday and he
said it was awesome and he wanted to take me. Chris had lasagna and I had ravioli
and Ella ate a little of both of ours. It was yummy!

The only person I can think of that she got this crazy looking smile from
is her Daddy! Chris makes the goofiest faces and some of them are rubbing off
on Ella! LOL

Uncle Buck or something like that was just hanging our on the strand...wasn't even
doing balloons or anything but once he saw Ella he went to his truck and pulled out
his stash of balloons and made her a little mermaid balloon. He didn't even have to look down at it to see what he was doing. It was pretty cool!

Ella loved that thing! She screamed loud in the restaurant when
I took it from her so she could eat!

Once again, Ella was making faces and gestures at Ella and of course she copied her daddy!

She gives the best kisses ever!

We had a great dinner! And after that...

of course we had to go to the ice cream/candy parlor! Cookies n cream...here I come!
This place was packed as usual! All 3 times I have been there it has been packed!

We went home and crashed after the ice cream and then woke up refreshed
the next morning! We went to Murdocks on the seawall to see if they had a little cafe
in the middle of the two stores to eat but they didn't. So we just looked around for a bit.

Ella and Chris were looking at the hermit crabs and picked up a few.

Ella kept wanting to touch them...

and then all of a sudden a pincher reached out and got the tip of Ella's little finger!
She started screaming and the crab wouldn't let go of her finger until Chris slapped it off!
Poor baby! That darn thing broke the skin on her finger and even made me tear up!

She calmed down after a couple minutes though.

It was a beautiful day!

We ate at Miller's Grill which I had never been to but you know being a "Miller" and
all, I had to try it! Chris had been there before when he lived in Galveston.
It was really good!

Then...we rented one of those two seater bikes that you see people pedaling down
the seawall that look really fun but holy cow it was like running a marathon for Chris
and I! My legs kept hitting my belly and neither Chris nor myself could reach the
pedals really good. I swear I though I might be going into labor a couple times! LOL
So, we couldn't believe we just paid someone for us to work this hard!
But, Ella had a blast! We were so tired afterward so we all went back to
the house and took a good 3 hour nap!
We took several breaks!

We decided that we would never do that again unless the kiddos were pedaling us around!
That night we went to Fisherman's warf to have dinner before heading back home to
Houston. It was good but it wasn't as good as the last time we went there and their
prices have definitely gone up! It was a nice view and a nice afternoon though!

That next day, Labor Day, Blake, Leah & Ethan came over and hung out for a little while
and Blake & Chris hung the ceiling fans in Parker's room and the guest room.
Ella & Ethan laid on the floor briefly and watched "Elmo in Grouchland"

Parker's room is almost finished, at least setting up all the furniture. My mom and
I washed and folded all the clothes and filled up several draws and washed all
the blankets, car seat cover, bouncer & swing covers so we are pretty much ready to go
once Parker Bear decides to make his debut!
Chris and I watched a documentary Sunday night called "The Business of Being Born"
which was an amazing film!
That seemed to get us ready for labor and delivery or as ready as we can be at least.
Parker is still kicking and rolling around in there and obviously growing and getting
stronger and stronger.
As for Ella, she is as sweet as ever besides the occasional whining and tantrums.
She can count to 10 really well now and she can sing her ABC's so pretty! She amazes us
every day with her knowledge! Her vocabulary is pretty big now. She knows or at least seems to know that she is going to have a brother very soon and when we ask her who is in mommy's tummy, she points to it and says "Par-ker" or "Par-kers." She says his name when we walk by his room too. Pretty much anything that is for a baby or infant she says is Parker's.
She LOVES when her Daddy makes a pallet on the living room floor which is just about every night. We have an egg crate and then two quilts that we lay down with pillows. If Chris or I are not on the pallet, she'll grab our hand and say "Daddy or Mommy up pallet or come on pallet."
We are going to build her a fort, eat popcorn and chocolate and watch a movie for my birthday this weekend.
Hope you have a wonderful week and God Bless!
