Our annual beach trip

So, this beach trip was highly anticipated because we stayed for a full 7 days and
it was like we had our own house again!  Not that we aren't grateful
to grandma and pawpaw for opening up their house to us while we get
back on our feet  because we certainly do appreciate it, but for this week, we had our own space and I didn't feel worried about how loud the kids were or anything!
This was us on our way to Galveston
to the beach house on 11th  and seawall for the last time :-( since Nana and Pappy
are selling it.

Our vacation started off a little rocky because I forgot the beach house keys
in Houston on my key ring.  It was HOT...really HOT!
So, Granny had planned on coming down for a day and spending the
night so I called her and asked if she could move her plans up and come down that day so
she could get the keys for us.

So, while we were waiting on Granny to get there,
we went down to the beach and played for a while.

While Chris and the kids were digging, they found this!

Mommy's feet

After hanging at the beach for a couple hours, we came back to the house to wait for Granny
and rinse off except there was no water hose so we put a sprinkler on the faucet.

This was pretty cool!  While we were there
at the beach house the century plant had bloomed!
In the 3 years have been going there, it has never bloomed
and it was quite pretty!

just so happened that specs was having a little fun with mustaches
that week which was quite ironic since we have been working on
Mr. Mustache Photobooth!  I had to get picture!

 Our little sleeping beauty!

He likes to take my pillow sometimes but I always sneak it from him once he is sleep...lol

The next day was Granny's birthday so we had to make it a special one
especially since she moved her plans up for us to bring us the keys!
We went to the beach in front on the house, had a picnic and
had fun in the sun!

Gosh, I remember when our baby girl was 1 1/2 when we came to the beach for the first time
and now she is 4 1/2!  She is pretty amazing and we are so proud of who she is
and who she has yet to become!

We searched for seashells and found couple of beautiful ones!

Parker seemed to enjoy his time there this year a little more than last year
maybe because he is a little older or maybe because we needed this
vacation after all the showings we had with our old house and moving
and all.

The best momma in the world!

After making dinner that night (spaghetti dinner for Granny's birthday)
Granny, Ella and I went to Baskin Robbins to get some ice cream to celebrate!

The next day we went on a walk on the seawall and down to murdochs.
The kiddos enjoyed virgin strawberry daiquiris and the beautiful view and then we headed back
to the house!

ones of these little crabs pinched Ella Bears little finger 3 years ago!

Ella & Daddy dancing!
And of course Parker with not pants on...very normal!  lol

Before going to Miller's Landing one evening.

We like to dress up!!!

This picture just so happens to be in the bathroom at a store on the strand because Ella had to go to the bathroom really bad and I loved the wall!

Thursday, several mommas from Ella's school came down and we hung out on the west end with them.  They had a blast and so did the mommas!

That evening, we made a new tradition and went down to the beach right at sunset per Daddy's request and boy was it beautiful!  It was so nice and cool and peaceful!

It's these little details that I love about our babies...their

sweet little feet and hands!

Parker met a new friend!

She was from North Carolina and she loves children and so she loved playing with Ella and Parker!

The next day we headed down to the strand and walked around a bit and then had lunch/dinner at Yaga's

Wild man!

This night there was a super moon!

Last day at the beach with our bucket heads.

And that night we went to Nick's which used to be Casey's.  It was pretty good! We had a wonderful trip and look forward to new adventures next year!!!
