Our trip to Pedernales Falls State Park

This year for spring break we went to Pedernales Falls
State Park and enjoyed hiking, playing in the water, climbing from rock
to rock, picnicing, and many other country living types of things!

The first morning we woke up and the kids and I took an early morning
hike in our pjs before daddy woke up.

It was so much fun, so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful!

The kids loved it!

It was just so beautiful out there!

Ella took a picture of me...

Ella and Parker collected and set free over 50 doodle bugs!

After getting daddy up and going, we went on the same hike just farther.

And we went to see the beautiful twin falls which I didn't get close enough
to get a great picture but oh well…we have the memory!

Later that day, we packed our lunches and set out on another
trail which led us down to Pedernales River.

We ate our lunch on that big rock and then played in the chilly water.

Of course it was chilly right when we put our feet in but quite refreshing after a minute
or two!

This day it got up in the 80's so the kids took their shirts off to get some vitamin D!

That night we BBQ's shrimp and sausage
on the grill and sat by the fire and looked at the stars
and the HUGE moon rising up through the trees.

This was the view from the State Park Offices.

The next day, we packed lunches again and set out on another trail/hike
leading us to Pedernales Falls.

It was gorgeous!

The kids played in the sand for a little while and then we did more exploring.

I love these pictures of Ella and Daddy!  Just hanging
out at the campsite before starting dinner.

the sweetest site!

Daddy brought out a sprinkler for the kiddos to play in while
he BBQ'd some chicken and zucchini but it was too cold!

And then the next day, after packing our lunches again,
we went on yet another hike on a different trail
down to the Pedernales River.  Another beautiful hike!

The kids really had fun going from one rock to another.
They pretended each rock was a different place…home,
work, school, etc.

The running water felt like a little massage on our feet!

Chris was making shadows in the water…lol

Beautiful trees on the hike.

My baby girl!

We had a GREAT time and hope to go back during
the summer!!!
