Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was very different.  As far as my side of the family,
it was great…good food, good laughs, good time spent with
those we love (Granny, Poppa, Blake, Leah and Ethan and Eli).
But on Thursday, on Thanksgiving Day, we did not get to be with Grandma
and Pawpaw and the rest of the family on Daddy's side.  This was a first since 2005!
It was hard not being with them but we are so thankful now to have Grandma
home and doing pretty darn good and healing.  We look forward to having her
around for a hundred more thanksgivings!  :-)

We took the kids to the park and from there Daddy left to go up to the hospital
to spend some time with Grandma and Pawpaw. At least the kids were in good spirits.

This was our turkey from Friday with Granny and Poppa at Blake and Leah's house.
It was really yummy!

This year we got to introduce the kindness elves.  Ella and Parker
named them, Krystal Kind Elf and Snowball.
They've been doing lots of kind things this holiday season!

They even each made their own batch of brownies for teachers at their school!
These elves have been teaching the kids about kindness this month and hopefully
the kids continue to show what they've learned :-)

Now in honor of Thanksgiving…here are just a few things we are thankful for this year…
Grandma being alive and healing and spreading her love everywhere she goes.
Having family that loves us no matter what.
Having family that help us with the kids (Thanks Granny & Poppa
and Aunt Diane and Jodi!)
Having healthy and amazing children.
Having a roof over our head.
Having a job.
Having faith, hope and love!
