Our Labor Day Weekend

We had a really fun and busy Labor Day Weekend! It started out Friday night when I cooked a lick your lips Mexican Casserole! Kind of like a taco salad without the chips. It was yummy! After we put Ella down to bed, Chris and I had a well deserved beer while laying on our backs on the tennis court looking up at the moon...I know how corney but it was relaxing. After about 30 minutes we went inside and started watching a movie but both passed out on the couch.
Saturday we took down Ella's doors and started priming them to be painted but ran into a couple issues so we had to run to Lowe to get some things to continue our project. Saturday night we went to Aunt D's birthday party and had a good time hanging out with friends.

This is the birthday girl's (Deanna) new baby boxer, Tyson...isn't he a cutie! His paws are HUGE which means he is going to be a big boy!

Sunday, we went back to Lowe's the get some more stuff and stopped by the park close to our house which we've been wanting to do since we moved in. It was Ella's first time at the park.

And her first time in a swing. It was kindof like she got butterflies in her tummy or got a little scared when she was swinging forward and then...

once she started going backwards she started smiling.

She rode the horsey or whatever that thing was...LOL

And we took her down the slide.

This is Cypress Creek which runs next to the park.

Then we went out to Jim & Eric's new house in Katy for Erica's birthday and a housewarming party and got to enjoy their awesome and beautiful saltwater pool.

Jake was pooped and passed out while standing up in the saucer.

Then Monday, Labor Day, we went over to Grandma and Poppa's for a late lunch. Ella got to hang out with her cousins and play a little. Roman and Sofia totally entertained by dancing to some hip hop music playing on the TV.

Ella hung with Poppa for a while...it was her first time to sit in the grass.

This is Ella's new thing...bobbing her head & body...we think she is dancing but whatever she is doing, we love it! She started doing it on Friday night at home adn then she saw Roman & Sofia doing some crazy dancing for a good 20 minutes straight we think she was trying to mimic them after that.

Ashley & Dianna (my wonderful photog buddies) & Ella & I met up for a little catching up and photography talk at Chuy's on Wednesday after work. I hadn't seen Dianna since I was pregnant last year! They are seriously some of the sweetest, most generous individuals out there!
