Once again almost a month has gone by without
a post :-(. Time just goes by so fast and I think about
posting at least a couple times a week
but it's not as easy as just posting pictures
and writing a quick HELLO.
I have to upload the pics from my camera
then because I have certain programs on my computer
for phototgraphy, the pictures have to go through
certain processes. So, it takes a little more time than
normal but I'm working on posting more.
So, these next few pics of Parker boy are from about 3 weeks
ago when our friends Eddie & Alma came over with
their kiddos one Friday night for a quick visit and pizza.
Parker fell asleep in his jumper with all the noise of a
3 year old, 2 year old and
8 month old and 3 dogs. |

His little footsies don't quite reach the floor yet...
As for our little Parker boy, I've said it a couple
times before and I have to say it again...
He is the most ticklish baby ever!
He laughs when you touch any part of his
body. He is so happy and smiles all the
time unless he is hungry or tired then he'll
let you know about it.
He turned 5 months last Friday and is still
wearing mostly 3 month clothes. I just washed
all of his 3-6, 6 , and 6-9 months clothes and the
6-9 look so big! He is only about 6 oz. heavier than
Ella was at this age but Ella seemed way more
chunky monkey to me. I think Parker is just longer.
He plays on his tummy quite a bit reaching out
for his toys and he rolls over both ways
We pu him up in his bedroom in his crib on 2/24
for the first time...WHA!!!
Made me cry! He's doing good though and he seems
to like his crib.
Canyon Lake last weekend was his first vacation
or trip away from home and he did pretty good.
Ella's first trip away from home was around the
same time and we went to Kerrville to stay with
Poppa Joe & Naner. He did great on the ride up there
and slept the whole way but once we stopped at Walmart
to get milk for Ella, he woke up and was HUNGRY!
So, I nursed him in the car in the walmart parking lot.
:-) |
 |
The next day Chris met up with Blake & Poppa to go to some
car show while Granny, Leah, Ella, Parker & Ethan went to
get new shoes and have lunch. We went to target first
which is where we were in this first pic of Ella & Ethan.
They love to hold hands! Ethan has passed her right up
in height. |
 |
That night we went to Hickory Hollow with
Granny & Poppa. Granny needed a new
screen saver since Parker came along
so I had to get a couple of shots
of all 3 of them together. |

When I hold Parker, which is a lot of the time, he always
presses his face against mine like in this picture.
I love his little cheeks! |

One night a couple weeks ago, I caught Ella and Daddy out
in the backyard, laying on the court looking at the moon.
She loves to go out there with Daddy when it gets dark and
look at the stars. |

Pawpaw & Parker

Ella will stop everything she is doing if she hears
Parker fussing and sometimes even if he isn't
she will go over to him and either bounce him,
hold his hand or kiss his head and say,
"It's ok Parker."
A couple weeks ago she said,
"RELAX Parker, RELAX!"
LOL
She also tells the dogs to "shut up, be quiet an hush!"
I guess I need to stop telling the dogs to be quiet since that
is of course what dogs do...bark. |
 |
Then she walks away and he watches her
with great concentration. |
 |
Last weekend we went to Canyon Lake to meet
Papa Joe and Naner at The Silverleaf Resort Condos to
visit for the weekend and also for Aunt Jojo to pick out her
new puppy. Papa Joe and Naner have a snauzer that they
bred with another one and had puppies that Jojo got to
choose from. |
 |
It was FREEZING on Saturday only because the wind was blowing
so hard so we didn't get to be outdoors for very long.
We did get a chance to get Ella out to play a little bit. |
 |
| Naner & Parker watching Ella. |
 |
We found a somewhat steep hill and
showed Ella how to roll down it.
She loved it along with
Daddy of course. |
 |
After rolling down the hill she was
dizzy and had to regroup...LOL |
 |
| Daddy did some rolls down the hill too. |
 |
Here are the two puppies...sisters...sleeping together
on Jojo's bags. I think both of them wanted to go home
with her! |
 |
Parker has found his feet! Any chance he gets,
he reaches for them and holds on tight! |
 |
| I love this picture with the sunlight behind him! |
 |
This was our view from the condos overlooking Canyon Lake.
I had no idea how blue and clear the water was.
It's really a beautiful lake! |
 |
| Poppa Joe and Parker. |
 |
Sunday, before heading back, Chris, Ella, Parker and I headed
to the dam because Ella loves the water so much and
wanted to see it! It was really a beautiful sight!
|
 |
| I get this look a lot! LOL |
 |
Some things Ella Bear is doing right now...some great and
some not so great...
First of all, the girl LOVES pinecone seeds.
She picks them up before going into
Mrs. Scott's house and our house every day!
She holds them while we going walking
in the stroller and pretty much always has one
in her hand. She likes to hold onto leaves too.
She's our little nature girl! :-)
She says, "I see you Daddy." or "I see you Mommy"
like they do in the movie Avatar. She has watched
that movie at least 8 times all the way through
which is probably why she is soooooooooo
dramatic lately. They are very dramatic in that movie
and I swear she acts just like them when she doesn't get her
way! We haven't let her watch it for a while now
hoping she'll not be so dramatic.
She had her first accident-free day back on January 19th
but lately we've hit a bit of a set back with her and potty
training. She hasn't wanted to go when she gets home from
Mrs. Scott's. She gives us a really hard time and then
just ends up having an accident in her panties anyways.
So, we have gone back to diapers for a minute and are giving
her a short break. We are going to start again strong
next Monday (the beginning of springbreak for Chris and I).
Wish us luck!
She didn't feel very good a last weekend and had a fever
for 3 days. She said her ears were hurting and so we did some of
our home remedies and she felt a lot better the next day. So, she
was EXTRA cranky this week and just cries and cries and cries when
she doesn't get her way. She's definitely showing attitude lately! LOL
She loves going to the park and being outside like most kiddos
and we try to go on a walk several times during the week.
It'll be easier now to go on a walk since it will be lighter longer.
She is still the sweetest little Ella Bear in the world with her hugs
and kisses and amazing personality...she's just being a two year
old and from what I keep hearing she is a lot milder than
most her age. I'm sure there are many that are more
laid back too.
She LOVES crackers, her paci still, her snuggles (small blanket with
satin around the edges - she has several), her big blankie with satin around
the edges, eggs, Parker, playing "trust fly" with her daddy
(she stands on the coffee table and Chris' legs are spread
about a foot wide a he is sitting on the couch
then she falls forward and lands her face in his stomach.
She can do this a thousand times and laugh every time!),
stars (her lady bugs night light that puts out stars and
a moon on her ceiling - the stars were on in the car
most of the way to Canyon Lake, at least while
she was awake), raisins, mac n cheese, reading books herself
and having someone else read to her, milk, chick-fil-a,
sweet potato fries, etc. etc. etc.
|
 |
I love this picture of my baby girl and I! It's rare that we
get pictures together so when we get a good one,
I get so excited!!! |
 |
On the other hand, we have tons of Daddy and Ella...
enough to have made a book for father's day a when she
was about 6 months old. |
 |
| I love that smiles of hers! It can brighten even the brightest of days. |
 |
Walking down to the water. I was holding Parker
and taking pictures...don't worry, we didn't leave him in the
car or back at the condo. ;-) |
 |
| Chris and Ella were looking for good skipping rocks. |
On another note...March 10, 2011 was our 4
year wedding Anniversary! I can't believe how fast
it's gone...4 years and two babies! We have our
tiffs and issues but what couple doesn't. The song
lyrics below sung by Brad Paisley say it best...substitute
boy for girl...LOL
I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
And 3 weeks later in the front porch light taking 45 min to kiss goodnight
I hadn't told you yet but I thought I loved you then
Chorus
Now you're my whole life now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it's ever been
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.
I remember taking you back to right where I first met you
You were so surprised
There were people around
But I didn't care I got down on one knee right there
And once again I thought I loved you then
Chorus
Now you're my whole life now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it's ever been
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.
I can just see you with a baby on the way
I can just see you when your hair is turning gray
What I can't see is how I'm ever gonna love you more
But I've said that before.
Now you're my whole life now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl
Well look back some day at this moment that we're in
And I'll look at you and say and I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then...
Happy Anniversary...Love you baby!
