The Miller Family: Baby Bear in her Bumbo

We think Ella Bear is really starting to like her bumbo because she gets to sit up and see the world. The faces that she makes when she is in her bumbo or standing up (with Chris or I supporting her arms of course) is so funny...she gets so serious and confident and raises her eyebrows.

Ella's sweet breath...it is completely and wonderfully sweet! Have I already mentioned this???

She likes something to be touching her face, preferably daddy's hand when she takes her naps...

Saturday, Chris, Ella & I went to Spring Creek BBQ and ate like it was going out of style and then went back to our house, made a pallet in front of the TV so that all 3 of us could lay down together (I know cheesy) and watched The Express (The Ernie Davis Story - WONDERFUL football movie and a must rent!) Ella watched the whole movie even when I was nursing her. She had her hands up cheering and talking the entire time...it was pretty cool! I can tell that she is going to like watching football and movies with her daddy and me for years to come.
Sunday, we went to Maddie's Baptism (Maddie is Gene & Mackie's sweet baby girl that was at Texas Children's hospital for the first 4 months of her life - see post from October)

Uncle Papa and Aunt Becca Boo came over to visit Ella since Papa hadn't met her yet.

Ella felt so comfortable with both of them...she loved meeting her Uncle Papa!

And of course she loves her Aunt Becca Boo too! She helped me give Ella Bear a bath.

She fell asleep in Becca Boo's arms...

And then she woke up for a little while...

and then took a little cat nap in Papa's arms...with Sofie cuddled up next to them.

She drooled all over Papa's arm...LOL

I had made it almost 4 months without getting pooped on but we knew that wouldn't last very much longer. After I finish nursing Ella Bear in the mornings I put her next to me laying on her boppy while I pump. She usually talks to me and smiles and just hangs out until I take her upstairs and put her next to Chris in the bouncer. Well, Tuesday morning while she was sitting next to me in the boppy I could hear going number 2 in her britches which she usually does after I nurse her in the mornings. I put my hand down next to me to push myself up farther on the couch and what do you know, I placed my hand in poop! It was all over the couch, all over Ella's back and top of her legs and then after waiting a couple minutes started to creep out of her diaper in the front at the top by her belly button! So, as I finished pumping, I placed a blanket under her bottom so that she wasn't sitting in the poop on the couch. Oh and by the way, Ella Bear was smiling and talking to me the whole time. Once I stood up, I noticed that I too had poop all over the butt of my jeans. So, we went upstairs to get Ella all cleaned up and changed. I wiped her down with a warm washcloth and got her ready to go. As I was walking with her to the bedroom to put her in the bouncer next to her daddy, Lucky Doodle started throwing up in the hallway...All I could do was smile...how could anyone not laugh in this situation...and all the while, Ella was still smiling and giggling. My mom later said she could see the yellow poop stains on my jeans...apparently I had not gotten them all out. whoops...

I'm not done though...this morning went about the same way, poop all over the couch, poop on my jeans (the only half way clean pair I had left), baby bear giggling and smiling the whole time but this time, Mandy girl (our boxer) had pooped in Ella's room and on the stair landing (mid-way up). She's been pooping on the stair landing or in Ella's room for the last 3 to 4 weeks. We think it's because she's jealous of all the attention Ella is getting. We are going to start putting her in her kennel at night for a couple weeks to fix that problem. Good times Good times...LOL
